Dianne Jacob's book, Will Write for Food, has been a resourceful guide and companion. (It encouraged the starting of this blog.) Initially, I picked it up to get tips on memoir writing; for guidance on how to approach this genre. But, in addition, there are handy chapters on structure for cookbook and recipe writing, starting a food blog, restaurant reviewing, etc. Bundled with insightful conversations with folks in the industry and how they got started. And not just a passive reading experience. At the end of each chapter, there are assignments as well that help one get started if they are at a loss of where to begin!
